Summer Schedule

• Off-season optional practice:

  • Tuesday & Thursday evenings (starts the evening of June 4)

  • 6:30 - 8:00 p.m

  • JHS Courts

  • Just the month of June

• Summer Weights:

  • Players need to attend the morning weights sessions in order to participate in the evening Tuesday/Thursday off-season practices

  • 9:30 am - Weights (8:30 for upcoming freshmen)

    • (Can attend other sessions if necessary)

  • No Weights = No Off-season practices (weights and off-season counts towards your Off-season points program!)

• Summer Camps – optional but encouraged

  • Millennium 

    • JHS girls players are given a discounted rate for Millennium Family Fitness Summer camps. This does not apply to lessons**

    • Each player will only need to pay $5 each day they attend camp

    • M & W or T & Th, 10-12

• Team Activities

  • Team Camp with CJ & Webb City - July 29&30

    • 29th - Drills in morning, Match play in afternoon, activities and games at night

    • 30th - Drills and Match play in Morning and afternoon, pool party in evening

  • Community Day of Service - August 17

    • Morning - Volunteer at Joplin Humane Society

    • Afternoon (2-3pm) - Optional Practice

    • Evening - Pool Party/Cookout at the Ramsey’s House!

• Joplin Summer Series - Tournament

  • Great opportunity to play girls from around the area

  • FREE to Joplin players!

  • Singles & Doubles Tournament

    • Singles - Morning of June 21st

    • Doubles - Morning of June 22nd (You need to find your own partner before the day of the tournament)

• Athletic Dead Period (no practice with coach) - August 3 - August 11

• 1st Week of Practice - Mon. Aug 12 - Fri. Aug 16

  • Weekdays (Weekend practices will be available and optional)

  • Freshmen/Sophomore/New Players: 3:00-4:30

  • Juniors/Seniors: 4:45-6:15

• 1st Week of School - Aug. 19 - Aug. 23

  • Freshmen/Sophomore/New Players: 4:00-5:30

  • Juniors/Seniors: 5:45-7:15

*These dates are subject to change, and Coach Coltharp will send out an announcement

Please make sure that your physical and insurance is up-to-date and turned into either the office or Coach Coltharp so you’re able to practice on August 12.

1. Download and sign in to the StudentSquare app using your school email address.

   1. It might ask you to verify your email or an activation link…check your spam folder in your student Gmail

2. Once logged in, on the bottom right of the StudentSquare app, click on ‘more’, and then ‘groups’

3. This will take you to a new page, and the ‘Joplin Girls Tennis’ will be listed towards the top, and then you can ‘join’ this group.
